Admissions Policy 2017

  1.  Northern Restaurant & Bar is a strictly trade only event. You may be required to show proof of your trade activities (e.g. a business card, invoices) at the entrance.
  2. All attendees (including visitors, exhibitors, press, competitors or speakers) to Northern Restaurant & Bar must hold a valid badge and be registered for the current show either at the event or pre-show.
  3. Visitors must have a business related interest in hospitality or food service and associated industries.
  4. Anyone attending Northern Restaurant & Bar should carry some form of photo-ID (passport, photo-ID driving licence, national identity card) or other identification acceptable to the Organisers which security may ask to see. If you are lucky to look younger than your age then you may be asked for id to prove you are over the age of 18!
  5. No students or apprentices, either individually or as organised groups, are allowed admission to Northern Restaurant & Bar. This is monitored by our security at the exhibition entrance and there will be no exceptions.
  6. No children/young adults aged 5-18 will be admitted to the exhibition. Children under 2 must be in a pram or pushchair. They are places of business and the presence of children is not encouraged.
  7. Press badges at the event are restricted to publishers, editors, journalists, photographers, broadcasters and web bloggers associated with the relevant industries. Members of the press may be required to complete an application form and produce accreditation in the form of a photocopy of a recognised press or media card, business card, NUJ card, a letter from the editor or an official web address linking to a press release or article in order to verify their position. Press applications from advertising personnel and media sales representatives will not be accepted.
  8. Badge holders must not allow their badges to be worn by anyone else.  Any failure is likely to lead to the badge holder and the person wearing the badge being removed from the event and possibly being barred from attending future Northern Restaurant & Bar events.
  9. Anyone attending Northern Restaurant & Bar must not take part in any canvassing, leafleting, demonstrations, objectionable behaviour or any activity which may disrupt the business activities at the fair.
  10. Non-exhibiting companies attending Northern Restaurant & Bar are requested not to solicit for business on the show floor or from exhibitors within the show.
  11. Many exhibitors give out samples of products for potential buyers to try. These are intended for genuine retail or hospitality buyers or users. Anyone found to be taking excessive samples from stands without engaging with the exhibitor or without the exhibitors express permission, may be asked to leave the event.
  12. Samples may only be taken with the express permission of the stand holder or supplier concerned and are for the use of professional buyers when making professional buying decisions.
  13. The organisers reserve the right to confiscate any sample they deem to have been acquired inappropriately or not for professional buying purposes.
  14. Official photographers & videographers will be taking photographs and other images at the event. The Organisers shall be entitled to use such photographs, which may include photographs or video footage of visitors, for the purpose of marketing the event attended and other events in the future. If you would prefer this not to be the case please email a clear photograph of yourself with proof of identity to clare.tams@holdenmedia.co.uk. The subject of the email should be NRB: DO NOT USE MY PHOTO
  15. Northern Restaurant & Bar has no control over the food products distributed at our shows and cannot be held responsible for any allergic reactions to food sampled or purchased whilst at one of our events. Northern Restaurant & Bar takes place in a multi-purpose public venue, which hosts a variety of events during every week of every year. Therefore, the venue is as susceptible to any allergen as any other public place, and should be treated with precisely the same degree of caution.

The Organisers reserve the right to exclude or remove anyone from the event and venue who do not comply with this policy or who they reasonably consider are likely to break these rules or who are prohibited from attending under any applicable laws or regulations.
