Abdulla started a kitchen assistant in 4 star Maldvian resort, aged 19. Promoted to head chef by the age of 21 and responsible for a 16 strong team and 120 guests daily.

He moved to England in 1999, aged 29 and started work at Nutters Restaurant, Norden, as assistant chef. Was promoted to sous chef three months later.

Abdulla left Nutters in 2001 to take up the position of head chef at Ramsons restaurant in Ramsbottom. Still work there currently having built up a strong reputation for modern Italian cuisine and a loyal customer base.
